Iode is central to a new syllabus of Math 285, the basic differential equations course for engineering students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). In addition to the software, we have created a suite of course materials.We believe that students who study differential equations should pick up at least a rudimentary understanding of how to implement numerical algorithms. Iode gives them a powerful and flexible framework for studying, developing, and testing such routines. In particular, Iode is
